Guwahati: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) India organised a 2-day-programme on ‘Stakeholders Consultation on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Sector in North-East India’ at Guwahati.
John Borgoyary, Regional Head, NE India, UNDP, in his speech during the workshop on Tuesday, highlighted that UNDP aims to work with grassroots entrepreneurs with the potential to grow in Northeast.
The workshops were organised for creating stronger MSMEs in NE India to boost exports, generate employment and provide livelihood opportunities to the youth and women of the region
The delegates in the workshops pitched for the introduction of technology to the sector and the need for a special focus on bamboo and agri-based products.
